Navy Health Report
The Navy has studied the effects of harmful noise and taken measures to protect carrier crews and pilots. For example, the following graphic shows pilots in the cockpit requiring maximum headgear for protection against noise levels between 115 to 130 As you view and consider this graphic, realize that the decibel readings in Admiral’s Cove range from 119 dBD to 134 dB:
But, as of this 2009 report, the Navy had not done enough:
